My name is Lisa Mitchell Shorter.  This is my 26th year teaching preschool with Danville Public Schools.  11 of those years have been at Northside Preschool.  Our teaching team consists of myself and Kathy Brooks.  Mrs. Brooks has had many years' experience in preschool.  I am so excited about starting this year.  My goals are to let your child feel loved/safe, make school enjoyable, achieve academic success, and learn to be a good citizen.  When we instll the love of learning, this will follow them for the rest of their lives.  In my afterschool hours, I spend as much time with my Mama and my outside labrador and great Dane dog(s).  I also truly enjoy vegetable/flower gardening and cooking all varieties of foods.  I love to try new recipes.  During the summer months I love to travel.
