I was born in Greenville, SC, but moved to Danville at a very early age. I attended Danville Public Schools from Kindergarten-12th grade.  I attended Averett College and achieved a degree in English with Teacher Certification K-4.  I have taught in Pittsylvania County Schools and Danville Public Schools for 29 years.  I primarily taught Math and Science in 3rd and 4th grade.  My absolute LOVE is teaching Math.  It is key to a child's success in life and my goal is to teach children that Math is NOT a scary or unachievable subject as many people think.
