My name is Mary Green, and I am excited to be the special education inclusion teacher at Forest Hills! I moved to Danville from Pennsylvania in 2013 after earning a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I also have a reading specialist Master’s degree from Averett University. This will be my 10th year in education! During the first four years of my career, I taught students with autism in a self-contained setting at an elementary and preschool level. I then shifted to teaching second grade at Forest Hills for the past six years. I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing team of educators, and I am excited to work with your child and support you along the way!

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy painting and reading. I also love any and all outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and running with my husband, Benton.
